About PIEAS Islamabad
In 1967, PIEAS Islamabad was founded as a Reactor School with the sponsorship of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. Eligibility Criteria for PIEAS Islamabad
The following are the admission requirements at PIEAS Islamabad:
Undergraduate Programs:
- Some undergraduate programs may require only 45% marks in HSSC; for some programs, students must have scored at least 50% to 60% marks in their HSSC/ inter.
- If a student has foreign qualifications, he needs a certificate that shows they’re equal to at least 50% to 60% in the HSC.
- Or if you’ve passed a diploma in relevant subjects or practice with at least 50% marks, you can also apply.
Master’s Programs:
- To get into the MS program, students must complete 16 years of education with a bachelor’s in a related field.
- Your degree should be in the second division, with at least a 2.5 CGPA or an equivalent percentage from a recognized university or institution.
- If your degree mentions both CGPA and division, you must meet one of these requirements.
- The required number of credit hours for your degree will follow the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission.
PhD Programs:
- You’ll need at least 36 credit hours in your previous MS degree, with 24 hours from coursework only.
- Your CGPA should be at least 3.0 out of 4.
- You’ll have to take either the NTS GAT (Subject) and score at least 60% marks or the GRE subject test by ETS and get at least a 60th percentile score.
- The number of credit hours required for the degree will follow the rules set by the Higher Education Commission.
